A cherry Chippendale oxbow chest of drawers of outstanding proportions, coastal Massachusetts, c. 1770. The overhanging rectangular top with molded edges and a reverse serpentine front above the cockbeaded conforming case fitted with four graduated drawers on a molded base, raised on shaped bracket feet with scalloped returns.
