George III Longcase Clock (SOLD)

Inlaid George III Longcase Clock.  Signed for James Stewart, Glasgow, Scotland (working 1778-1799), ca. 1790,
mahogany and pine. Broken-arch pediment with brass rosettes and string inlay,
rope-turned columns on the hood and quarter columns on the case.  The movement has a brass dial with cast brass spandrels, the works are original.  The clock runs and sounds perfectly, with exception of the calendar.
