A set of six George III Mahogany Sidechairs, fourth quarter 18th century, in the Chippendale taste, each with a shaped crest having foliate and sunburst carving over a pierced and interlacing splat, the original drop-in seats raised on square legs joined by an H-form stretcher. 38 3/8” h. x 21 ½” w. x 21” d., seat height: 18 ½”.
An important pair of George II Mahogany Back Stools, c. 1755. The serpentine crest rails with padded backs above upholstered serpentine seats, raised on cabriole legs with scrolled returns, supported on outwardly scrolled toes with carved supports. 40 ¾ h. to crest, 18 ½ h. to seat, 24 ½” w., 31” overall depth.
