A Chippendale tilt-top tea table, with a 2-board top, turned and fluted shaft, swirled cup (the swirled cup at the base of the shaft is a classic Massachusetts design element), and cabriole legs ending in pad feet. Retains its original, iron spider and an old finish with rich color. Massachusetts, probably Boston, circa 1760-1780. Some repairs. 27 1/8" high, top measures approximatley 28 5/8" in diameter.
