Italian Tooled Leather and Wood Jewelry Box

An early 19th century Italian tooled leather and wood jewelry box, covered entirely with deep burgundy leather with extensive gilt tooling, having one long drawer over four small drawers and a deep arched drawer over another long drawer. On leather covered feet, with a secret opening to the back. Interiors of all drawer sides also leather covered and tooled.

An outstanding George II shagreen tea caddy, circa 1750, with rococo silver mounts, escutcheon and ball and claw feet. Interior later fitted as a letter box with velvet lining.
