			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A four-section silver plate and mirrored glass table plateau.  French, c. 1789, with two D-ended sections and two square sections, all with a cast column and swag gallery, the sections containing mirrored glass with original wood base, unmarked.  An identical plateau was purchased by George Washington while president and then moved it to Mount Vernon, where it is in the collection today.  See Cadou, The George Washington Collection, 140-141.  Plating worn off in general, otherwise in very good condition. 59 ¾ l. x 20 5/8&nbsp;w.</p>
