Assortment of labels on the back, reading “Thomas A/EY & Sons, Dealers in works of Fine Art, London: J.G. Walther (18th c. German organist) (both on reverse of frame) “Over 35 years with the late Messrs. Gruncy & Smiths (Art Dealers), 4 Exchange Street, Manchester (operating in the 19th century), and “Henry A. Rawlin Expert picture restorer and liner. ” Painting possibly relined, only one tine point of restoration visible under blacklight.
