| A superb and rare creamware jug, c.1775. Probably Cockpit Hill. Provenance: Ex. Stoke-on-trent Museum Ceramics Department, and also M.M. Newton Collection. This label reads Cockpit Hill. Rare polychrome painting with exotic birds. 8 ¼” h. x 6 ½” w. There has been some restoration to the handle and to the spout, a firing crack at the base. | ||
