Connecticut Banister Back Side Chair ~ early 18th c.

A black painted banister back side chair, probably Connecticut, early 18th c., the lightly shaped crest above three split spindles flanked by turned tapering stiles and a trapezoidal needlepoint seat which overhangs the turned legs joined by a bulbous ring-turned medial stretcher. 42” h. Seat height 13 ½”.
