A pair of old Sheffield fused plate candlesticks with hurricane shades, c. 1785, attributed to Mathew Boulton, baluster form, gadroon socket on tapering reeded stem and gadroon base retaining original shades. 20 ¾” h. x 5″ base diam. Note: stick is of classic Boulton form, coupled with very high quality plate.
