An Italian Giltwood and Polychrome-painted Corner table or console, late 18th Century. The fan-shaped top with an applied watercolor, gouache and chalk-heightened panel signed indistinctly E.C.S. and dated 1791 and depicting a Classical scene of women dancing in a ring around a Goddess with attendant musicians, temples and outbuildings beyond in a pastoral landscape over a guilloché-carved frieze and fluted circular tapering legs headed with leafy sprays on flowerhead-carved knob feet, regilt, top likely associated.
