Assortment of labels on the back, reading &#8220;Thomas A/EY &amp; Sons, Dealers in works of Fine Art, London: J.G. Walther (18th c. German organist) (both on reverse of frame) &#8220;Over 35 years with the late Messrs. Gruncy &amp; Smiths (Art Dealers), 4 Exchange Street, Manchester (operating in the 19th century), and &#8220;Henry A. Rawlin Expert picture restorer and liner. &#8221;  Painting possibly relined, only one tine point of restoration visible under&nbsp;blacklight.</p>
